How to create your own mood board?

A mood board is a collection of images and visuals that helps the designer and leads them into creating a new project.

Is one of the first steps of a project and a way to communicate inside the studio and with clients, by showing the mood board you can decide if you are following the right way of inspiration or not.

What do you need in your mood board?

For a fashion collection you need images of inspirations that help you to create your own silhouette. It can be images from fashion editorials or artistic volumes, also you can get inspired by a movie...a book...a painting... it could literally be anything that makes you create a silhouette while imagining your own muse.

After that you go into deep research about the inspiration, keeping present the key words.

The last step is to place your ideas in a way that makes your mood board coherent.
